About ArcticPro Ice Systems

Technology-driven ice production since 2009. Building smarter, more efficient ice machines for a connected world.

Our Vision

Redefining Ice Production for a Sustainable Future

ArcticPro was founded in 2009 with a single mission: to eliminate the inefficiency, waste, and downtime that plague conventional ice production. Starting with a team of 12 refrigeration engineers in Charlotte, NC, we built our first IoT-enabled ice machine prototype in 2011.

Today, our 620-person team operates 3 production facilities and 24 service centers, serving operators in 42 countries. We produce 18,000 ice machines annually, each one equipped with our ArcticConnect IoT platform and WaterGuard filtration system.

By 2030, we aim to transition 100% of our product lines to natural refrigerants (R-290 and R-744), reduce water consumption per pound of ice by 50%, and achieve carbon-neutral manufacturing across all facilities.

Key Milestones

The turning points that shaped ArcticPro into the company it is today.

2009
Founded in Charlotte, NC with 12 refrigeration engineers and a mission to modernize ice production.
2011
First IoT-enabled commercial ice machine prototype completed. Filed 3 patents for smart evaporator plate monitoring.
2014
Launched ArcticConnect 1.0 IoT platform. Secured ENERGY STAR certification for full nugget ice product line.
2017
Expanded to 20 countries. Opened second production facility in Guadalajara, Mexico for Latin American markets.
2020
Launched WaterGuard multi-stage filtration system. Introduced touchless ice dispensers for healthcare during COVID-19 response.
2023
Reached 42-country distribution network. Shipped 100,000th ArcticConnect-enabled machine. Began R-290 refrigerant transition.

Deployment Track Record

Representative project profiles across our core industries, illustrating the scale and application diversity of ArcticPro installations.

Regional Hospital Network — Southeast US

Deployed 140 nugget ice dispensers across 8 hospital campuses in 2021. Each unit produces 400 lbs/day with touchless dispensing and NSF/ANSI 12 compliance. ArcticConnect fleet management reduced service calls by 35% in the first 12 months by enabling remote diagnostics and proactive filter scheduling based on actual water consumption data rather than calendar intervals.

Seafood Processing — Gulf Coast Fisheries

Installed 6 industrial flake ice machines at a 50,000 sq ft fish processing facility in 2022, each producing 5 tons/day of subcooled flake ice at -5°C. The installation replaced an aging ammonia-based central ice plant with distributed R-290 units, eliminating the need for a dedicated machine room and reducing refrigerant charge from 800 lbs (NH3) to 6 × 150g (R-290) total.

National Quick-Service Chain — 200+ Locations

Ongoing rollout since 2023 of AP-C500 cube ice machines with ArcticConnect monitoring across 200+ franchise locations. Inverter compressors deliver ENERGY STAR-rated efficiency at 7.2 kWh per 100 lbs of ice. Centralized fleet dashboard allows the corporate facilities team to monitor production, energy use, and maintenance status across all sites from a single interface.
