Some companies rank customers by invoice size. A hotel with a $20,000 annual service contract gets a technician on site within four hours. A family-owned taqueria with a $200 Scotsman repair gets "we'll fit you in next week."
That ordering is wrong. I've seen the $200 customer become the $20,000 customer over the course of three years. When I was starting out in this trade, the parts vendors who treated my small orders seriously are the ones I still call today for big ones. Small doesn't mean unimportant—it means potential.
